2023 Summer season is underway!!

To start our 2023 summer season we had our opening drive today, Sunday 23rd April. The weather wasn't exactly kind today but it could have been much worse. We had 17 bowlers so we played five triple and 1 pair, the triples had 2 bowls each and the pairs had 3 bowls. We played the planned 15 ends (in a slight rain) followed by a 3-end final (in sunshine!) between the top 2 teams, which were Red 1 (pair) and Red 3 (triple).

In the 3-end final it was all level after the 3rd end so another end was needed after which team Red 3 were victorious so congratulations to Chris Cavanagh, Ben Torr and Ian Clark, commiserations to Jeff Freedman and Tony Keach the runners-up.

For the coming week we have a roll-up every day from 2pm for those who wish to come and practice. You are urged to take advantage if you can.

Games sheets can be found on the competitions noticeboard , please add you name to sheets to be eligible to be picked for play.

Although the season has started a bit damp, it certainly didn't dampen spirits. Iit was great to be outside again and it will hopefully be much warmer and drier soon!
