About us
We have one green consisting of 6 rinks, a spacious and well-appointed clubhouse with a large lounge area, fitted kitchen, ladies and gents changing rooms and toilet facilities. There is also a separate toilet for the disabled with wheelchair access and washing facilities.
We have a fully licenced bar that is open during normal licencing hours. During the summer season the club is available to members for bowling from 2pm until dusk, Monday to Friday and, as requested, on Saturday and Sundays (weather permitting). Outside the summer season the club is open on Tuesday and Thursday, 2pm to 4pm.
Open all seasons
We are a completely voluntary organisation. During the winter months we have activities that include short mat bowls (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons), darts, quiz nights and other social events.
During the playing season (April-September), other than our club internal competitions, we host county matches, league and other competitive matches. We also hold two charity days where we raise money for various charities. Members are welcome for a roll-up or to practice on their own at any time the club is open.
Although St.Chads is a private members club, members of the public are welcome, if they wish to participate on the green they must however wear suitable footwear please (shoes or trainers, either with flat soles) for the protection of the grass.

Our Social Club
During the summer months, as well as our local area intra- and inter-club matches, we have regular coach outings to other clubs further afield. So you can have fun, make new friends and get fit!
We have a fully licenced bar and facilities for the disabled. Our club house is also available for hire when we have no other events on, please use the contact form to make an enquiry.
