Lynn Seears Day 2025

It had been forecast to be a very hot day but when we started with the "spider", the sky was a bit overcast and the temperature quite pleasant so we opted to play for 18 end with a break after 9 ends.   By the time the 9 ends were played though, the sky had cleared and the temperature soared so it was decided to play only 6 or the 2nd half's 9 ends.

We had 23 bowlers in the end which meant 7 triples and 1 pair.  The pair played with 4 bowls each, the triple 1 and 2 played with 3 bowls, the skip with 2.   It was a little bit confusing for the first 2 ends but after that it worked well.

In the end there were two teams that were ahead of everyone else, the pair, which was Joy Wright and Chris Hayward (they were top) and a triple which was Dave Wharf, Glinys Wadey and Steve Aguis.   These two teams played a 3 end 'final' and the triple came out on top.
