St Chads BC won the Redbridge Afternoon League (RAL) Pegrum again this year and also the RAL finals against Plashet Park, played at Wanstead Central on the 24th August.
The green was super-fast and St Chads were winning on both rinks from the start, the winning rink scores were 21-7 and 17-10, a convincing and comprehensive win.
As seems to be our norm, we started the RAL this season with a loss at Hainaut but then never looked back, beating Hainault into 2nd place when all matches played and winning the RAL Pegrum league. Plashet Park were the winners of the Brignall league, beating Wanstead Central into 2nd place.
A big thank you goes to everyone who helped with everything throughout the season (so far), playing and/or supporting the teams and maintaining the green. Also to Wanstead Central for hosting the finals in their 100th anniversary year, next year St Chads will host the finals.
