To all the club members who were able to come and help last Sunday at the recruitment day, a very big

*** THANK YOU ***

Whether you had a big or small part, were there all day or only part of, the time you gave was very much appreciated and we couldn’t have done it without you. We did as much as we could to make it fun for people and get them interested in following up and hopefully becoming members. Last year we had 16 peoples name for a possible follow up, this year we have around 30 and if we can get even just 3-5 of those to become members then the day will have been a success. If we get more then that’s the icing on the cake.

Although the thanks go to everyone, there are a few who need special mentioning: -

• Karen and Gloria for the advertising they did and getting the word out
• Sharon and John for the idea to donate Easter eggs to the local radio station in return for an ad to be read out regularly
• The two coaches for the way the bowls taster was run, the little competition for who could get the most points was a great success.
• The ladies who helped in the kitchen
• Karen, who apparently made the best bread pudding anyone had ever had!

Those are a few but the thank you extends to everyone. Lastly, a thank you to the British weather which decided to be very kind on the day and made sure people turned out.

Next steps are that Dave Jarrold will follow up with all the people who had a try and arrange follow up sessions with those who would like more. I think there were at least 4 who showed a definite wish to do so (one man wanted to join there and then!).
