Lynn Seears day 2021

The Lynn Seears day this year was a quieter day than some in the past, attendance was a bit smaller and Cribbs our sponsors were not able to be there and do the presentation to the winners who were John Torr and Pat Little. Well done to you both, they played very well. The green was double-mowed in the morning which took longer than usual due to several reasons including that it needed to be cut twice.. We were therefor a bit late starting but after we go over the few "what are we doing?" moments, the game proceedings went very well and we had a ploughman's lunch after all play was completed. A few thank yous (in no particular order): -
  • Bob Mead for organising the day, arranging the food and proving the parasols (did you notice them?)
  • To Joy for the lovely hamper she made up.
  • Sharon and Stella for selling the raffle tickets
  • To Rose and Gloria for doing the washing up.
  • Jim for doing the bar all afternoon.
  • To the people who donated raffle prizes, the raffles made £138 in total so thank you all.
  • John, Lizzie and Stuart for the mowing of the grass and for not complaining when we had to do a 2nd cut!
  • To our sponsor, Cribbs, for their donation of £200
  • Anybody else not mentioned who helped out in any way.
Last but by no means least, special thanks go to Pat Little for paying for all the drinks during the afternoon. She did this in remembrance of Albert whom we so sadly lost earlier this year, it would have been his 85th birthday on the 14th August.
