Great entertainment evening with Martin Philips at St Chads!

On Saturday 23rd October we had Martin Philips entertain us with songs and the evening went down extremely well. He sang plenty of dance music and got people up for a dance for a good part of the night. One song he does particularly well, and closed his first half with, is "Bring him home' from Les Misérables, really nice. Some entertainers can be a bit frugal with their singling time but apart from a 20 minute break (during which we did the raffle), he entertained us for the best part of 3 hours. We finished at 11.20pm and after this Martin had to drive home to Whitstable! Great evening Martin, very enjoyable and hope to see you again next year.

A big THANK YOU to the ladies who ran the raffle, to those people who contributed prizes for the raffle and to you, the people who bought tickets. The raffle made in excess of £120 which was fantastic.

The next entertainment evening is on 11th December when we will have Marie Saunders singing for us. Marie regularly appears on Sky's Country Music channel but she sings other music as well and we should have a really good evening, no doubt with some Christmas songs to sing along to as well.
