St Chads Bowling Club has been collecting for different charities for the past 3 years. First was Richard House Hospice for Children, next it was Prostate Cancer UK and for this year it was Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) for whom St Chads Bowls Club collected £2,221.51
Monies were raised throughout the year by means of quizzes, race nights, hamper raffles and collection boxes on our bar. We sincerely thank everyone, members and friends, who contributed in any way to the total collected but special thanks though, are due to Karen Cavanagh and her band of helpers who made it all happen. It was a magnificent effort for a worthy charity providing help to affected children and their families. For this next year, collecting has already started for The Stroke Society.
On the 4th November a cheque was presented by Pat Little, President of St Chads Bowling Club, to Cydney Green on behalf of CLDF.
