60th Anniversary day - 14th August 2016

We had a great day on the 14th August when bowlers from Clayhall, Clementswood, Ford Sports, Old Dagenham, Rainham and Seven Kings came to St. Chads for an afternoons bowling to celebrate our 60th Anniversary. The weather was very kind and the sun was out for the day, it was wonderful to see all 6 rinks in use and all bowlers in their whites

Winning rink with the best shots difference for the visitors were Rainham skip'd by Arthur Blackmore and for St Chads it was the triple skip'd by Jack Skinsley.

We really enjoyed the day to the extent that next year we are considering repeating the day as an invitation event (and not as a 61st anniversary event as some have mentioned ?).

There were lots of people that helped in the preparation and on the day who deserve our gratitude and thanks for contributing (some not even members of the club), these include our lady members, Irene Biscoe, Marion Mead, Bob Mead, Brian Mackenzie and many more who helped with the organising, setting out, catering, bar, etc. You know who you are and what you did to help, the club is very appreciative of your help.
