Lynn Seears day

The weather delayed the start of Lynn Seears day on Sunday 7th July until 3pm but we managed to get 9 ends in rather than 18 and it was still a most enjoyable afternoon, especially once the sun came out. We also had 2 birthdays to celebrate, Paul and Joe, and one more birthday due the next day, Jakki.

The winners of the competition were Jeff Freedman, Alan Smith and David Hunt. Runners up were Paul Smeulders, Sharon Falzon and Nikki Mook.

Thank you to all who took part, getting things ready and all those who provided an abundance of food, it was all very nice. A special thank you to Sharon Falzon for the 3 birthday cakes she made.

The draw was made for the hamper which Karen put together for Lynn Seears day, it was won by Stuart Mackenzie. Thank you to Karen for putting it together and thanks to everyone who bought raffle tickets. In total the club raised £200 from the hamper tickets for Prostate Cancer UK and the 'spider' before the bowling raised £24. Joe Falzon who won the spider donated his £5 winnings to the charity, thank you Joe!.
